Inter-House Gymnastics Finals showcase amazing talent

On Wednesday 6 December, St George's Junior School held the Finals of the Year 6 Inter-House Gymnastics Competition.

The children created their own routines, which they performed to a piece of music of their choosing. Four routines were selected to compete the final.

Congratulations to all the children who took part in the competition, the standard was extremely high and it was a difficult decision for the judges.

After much deliberation, Eagles were the eventual winners, who produced a polished, creative and technically good routine, which gained them the highest marks from the judges. Well done!

Year 6 results:

1st - Eagles

2nd - Kestrels

3rd - Hawks

4th - Owls

Then on Tuesday 12 December, it was the turn of Year 5 pupils to compete in their own Gymnastics Final.

Again the overall standard was extremely high, which is testament to the hard work of not only the children, but also the Teaching Staff who have guided and taught many of these children so well. It was also lovely to see gymnasts of all abilities enjoying themselves and giving their very best for their Houses. All the children in all the Houses can be very proud of themselves, not just those who reached the final.
