Summer Term Colours awarded

With the end of term finally upon us, it was time for Colours to be awarded in the Chapel today at St George's College (5 July). 

There was a special assembly held this morning for First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Lower Sixth students, where the Headmistress Mrs Rachel Owens congratulated everyone and handed out full and half colours. There was also a very special and very rare prize handed out, as one of the Lower Sixth students received triple colours for excellent contribution to Hockey, Cricket and Rugby at St George's. Triple colours is awarded when a student represents the School in three major first team sports, they are presented with a special cap.

As well as colours being awarded, there was also special cricket awards given to two younger students and then merit awards were handed out to students from various year groups.

Congratulations to all recipients of the awards, colours and triple colours on offer this morning:

Will Cooke - awarded for excellent contribution to three main sports (Rugby, Cricket and Hockey) during his time at St George's College. An incredible achievement.
