Year 6 Revue 'Be Our Guest' brings laughter and tears from jubilant audience

With the end of the academic year, and the end of Year 6's journey at St George's Junior School, the pupils came together at the end of June to perform their Year 6 Revue 'Be Our Guest'.

The production was written and directed by Mrs Morgan, Mr Lawson Lean and Mrs McIntyre, and Mr Lawson Lean has written a brief review of the fantastic production.

"This year’s Year 6 revue, Be Our Guest transported the Year 6 revue to Disneyland Paris – where rehearsals become disrupted when Rachel gets stuck at the top of a rollercoaster in her Blue Fairy costume! Each class presented their own section of the show which was a parody on some classic animated films – and, of course, Rachel is rescued just in time for her big moment.

The Year 6 Production Club provided an outstanding opening dance and each class treated the audience to a class song. The show also included a fantastic gymnastics routine choreographed by Miss Pratten.

Musical Direction was provided by Mr Hodgson, Mrs Hooley and Mr Lloyd. Mrs O’Connell once again created outstanding scenery for the show.

Year 6 gave an energetic and slick production which had the audience laughing and applauding throughout. A few tears were shed along the way as well. The production was a testament to the wide ranging talents of a wonderful year group of pupils."
